In honor of a generous endowment from Dr. Hairan Kim (College of Medicine, Class of 1959), the Institute for Interdisciplinary Unification Studies has expanded its founding publication initiative into the Hairan Series-a platform designed to foster intellectual leadership and collaborative problem-solving for the Korean Peninsula and the global community.
The Hairan Research Monographs present in-depth, long-term analyses of pressing issues facing the Korean Peninsula and the international order. Authored by leading scholars and practitioners, these volumes bridge academic rigor and policy relevance, offering strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
The Expert Notes serve as a curated online forum for incisive contributions from global thought leaders-spanning diplomacy, security, human rights, public health, energy, science and technology, education, and culture. This initiative invites timely and policy-relevant perspectives from across sectors and disciplines.
At its core, the Hairan Series seeks to cultivate cross-sectoral integration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the exchange of visionary ideas.
